Meet the Founder

Margaret Perry, Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)

Margaret is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Illinois and Nevada with ten years of experience in working with different populations with a mosaic of different needs.  Since the early years of her career, she recognized that it wasn’t enough to just address the symptoms, but to look at the person as a whole and include the current and past environments.

Our past has a way of continuing to influence our current experiences and to have a more fulfilled life, our past can’t simply be ignored.

She has experience with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.  She also has extensive experience in treating traumatic events and enduring stressful life experiences.  She specializes in trauma, anxiety, depression, personality disorders, and eating disorders.

Her approach is warm and welcoming and focuses on creating an environment that allows for honesty and truth.  Utilizing a didactic approach (not just providing therapy, but providing the how and why) and gentleness, she emphasizes strengths and resources while helping to create skills to increase problem solving and independence.

We Are Covered By Insurance!

We work with most major providers so that cost doesn’t have to be a barrier to getting your life back.

We simplify that matter even more by checking your coverage and taking care of the billing to try to make it as hands-off as possible so you can focus on what’s important

Is Therapy Right for Me?

Our approach is focused on finding solutions to your experiences.

We use an integrated approach that is tailored to your needs, including maximizing any resources that you may already have.  Using an integrated approach of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), we can begin to explore how your thoughts, behaviors, and emotions are connected and influence each other while breaking any cycles that aren’t working for you anymore.

Through our work together, we can isolate triggers and begin to reconstruct their influence on your life, build better habits and communication skills, and learn new and more helpful ways of managing symptoms while reducing their impact on your life.

Questions?  We’ve got answers!

What do you treat specifically?

We treat most mental health conditions, symptoms, and temporary difficult situations going on in people’s lives.  Whether it’s new symptoms or events or things from your past, we can definitely find out what we can do to support you during your path to healing.  Find out more about the conditions that we treat by visiting our contact page, reaching out, or calling us directly to share a little about what is going on in your life.

What states are you in?

We currently offer telehealth and in-person therapy in Illinois and telehealth in Nevada.  But we are always happy to look at providing services in your state.  Feel free to reach out to see if that’s an option for you.

What if I don't see my insurance listed?

No worries!  We can definitely check your insurance for coverage and we are always adding new insurance policies.  In addition, many major providers, like the ones listed above, also cover some of the lesser known insurance providers.  We can check in-network and out-of-network coverage for you and give you an estimate on what you can expect.

What if my insurance isn't accepted?

Many insurance providers offer out of network coverage.  This means that just because we aren’t considered in network, doesn’t mean that you can’t still get services from us.  We can check what your coverage looks like and also discuss others options or even provide a referral if we are unable to work with the insurance company to get services covered.

How do I do online therapy?

We’re so glad you asked!  It’s very simple.  You’ll receive a link in your email that takes you to a secure, HIPAA compliant site that only you and the provider have access to.  As long as you are in a quiet place with internet access, most mobile and computer devices can support the site.

What if I have other questions? How do I get in touch with you?

You can contact us through our website or directly!
